Polystyrene (PS) Injection Molding

Polystyrene (PS) injection molding produces parts with good insulation properties and high optic clarity

Polystyrene is an amorphous thermoplastic that offers transparency and heat resistance. It’s commonly used in medical applications, packaging and containers, and appliances. The resin is also food contact compliant.

We offer two grades of polystyrene through our injection molding service:

  • Styron 666D is a common material for medical applications and offers high clarity and medium heat resistance.
  • Styron 498 is a high impact and high gloss version of polystyrene. It’s often used in appliances, consumer electronics, and medical applications.
